Hi guys, I want to share my experience with Article Twin (article marketing automation system) as a copywriter. I prefer to be called an Author though, but since they call my job copy writing, let’s bear with it for today.
I’m a translator by profession, a recent graduate from the college and I work from home, since it is the most usual style of working with translation agencies for a freelancer. I don’t like the idea of a “9 till 5” jobs by default and prefer to decide personally when to work and when to rest. Surely, I’m not making millions, but I’m proud to earn a decent living by doing it my own way. And I also run a blog.
I have recently (well, about two weeks ago) seen an advert of an internet service called Article Twin and followed the link to see, one more, how I can “Earn from home if I can write in English”. I was really expecting to see another translation agency web site, which was good for me, as I like to grow my database of potential clients bigger, since it gives me more confidence when I negotiate the price for a new project.
So the link took me to a web site that looked more like an Apple notebook that I have, rather than a translation company site, and it was called Article Twin. Through their “Frequently Asked Questions” I learned that this is a kind of service that allows to be paid for writing, not translating really. Which was sort of OK with me, as I consider myself quite a creative guy, who is very much capable of writing. LOL. Especially, when we speak about short articles, which, as a blogger I do just for the sake of it.
The registration was free, so I decided to give it a fair try. It asked for the Webmoney details for the payouts, and that’s also grabbed my attention, as the majority of western services prefer Pay Pal and do not bother to work with electronic currencies. Surely, I have a WMZ account, as I cash out almost half of my monthly earnings from the agencies that I work with through it. So, in this way I got involved into an article marketing assets production :)
To my best understanding, as a novice I should have been earning my “respect points” in the system, to make my earnings bigger (it really starts from funny $0.1 per 1 thousand of symbols), namely – plus $0.05 to my total price per positive rating, per article, by any of the clients that I write an article for. From the start, I sort of thought – why would I bother with working for pennies? But having done a simple math, I decided to give it a Go. Why the heck not, I don’t lose anything but a bit of my time.
Based on my calculations, if I would have been able to increase my earning limit per article daily, I could have reached an acceptable level of income in less than two weeks. And, hopefully, reach an average level of income that I have at the moment with the translation agencies, a month. Well – that’s another story…

So you have probably heard about the Article Twin service. Usually they would accept Pay Pal, Visa or MasterCard, or a wire transfer, which is nice, as it makes it secure and more common to us, the “western world” folks. The list of accredited exchange service providers in different countries can be found on the Web Money web site, as well as on the Article Twin website, in a FAQ section.
So, funding your Article Twin account may probably look like the hardest bit, however, once you’re done with it the first time, you’ll find it pretty simple to credit your account once again. I’m pretty sure that nowadays, everyone who deals with the SEO and back links building can handle an e-currency account creation and management.
There was also an easier, but more expensive way to credit your Article Twin account – by a paid text message from your mobile phone (a so-called SMS). However, I believe, because you would usually get only 40% of the money to your account, as the service provider and mobile operator would share the rest 60% as their “cut” from your payment, they removed it from their web site. Though, in this way you could have make your funds available at Article Twin within minutes, so it was a nice choice if you wanted to test the system right away.
