By Money Making Expert On July 24, 2010 No Comments

Internet marketing for any product or program is a numbers game to a certain extent. You need eyeballs on your website. If you become good at getting traffic you can work at converting more of those visitors into sales and make more money.

Here are 5 ways to make money online and get more traffic!

1. Join 3-4 discussions forums. Be sure they are relevant to the theme of your business. Big-Boards.com is a website with many forums you can join. Create a good profile with a link to your website as many people who read your posts will check you out here.

You can also include a signature file that goes at the bottom of each message you comment on. This is how you advertise in discussion forums.

You Do Not promote anything in the message itself. When people see a good comment by you some of them will click on the link in your sig file. This is free traffic for you.

2. Do article marketing at a higher rate. Write and submit a lot of 400-500 word articles to alot of article directories. Many Internet marketers make the mistake of not thinking big enough when it comes to article marketing.

There is a lot of competition online and you need to step up the pace and get more articles out where readers and search engines can find them. If you create a good bio box, with a link to your website, you will get some real good quality traffic from article marketing.

3. Blog and social bookmark. You can take your longer articles from article marketing and rewrite them into shorter 200-250 word articles. Take those and post them in your blog.

Then use a bookmarking service such as Only Wire to bookmark your blog articles to social directories. This is another good source of traffic as well as search engine bait.

4. Search engine optimization. The amount of long term traffic that comes from ranking high on search engines like Google, Yahoo, and Bing is unbelievable. You just need to target the right keywords in everything you do.

When you optimize web pages, blog posts, articles, forum posts, and so on the search engines begin to take notice. Over time you will see yourself climb up to page one for some really good keywords if you do it right.

5. Email marketing thru list building. You should have a sign up form on every web page you build. You should also let people subscribe to your RSS Feed on your blog via email. It will amaze you how much traffic and sales you can get from a good mailing list.

Seo Planning

By admin On April 10, 2010 No Comments

If you asked the majority of Internet based companies what is the one area of business they would like to improve what do you think that would be? Being further up the rankings in Google of course. And not only just climbing the ladder but staying right at the top of it for the long term.

If you want your website to do well in the search engine giant known as Google, then play by their rules and you’ll go a long way. But what is it that Google actually likes? Well for one they want your URL or domain name to represent what your site is actually about.

So, say for example your website is called “homemadesheds.com” Google will in theory rank your website higher if your pages within your site are about homemade sheds. You can of course have pages about “designing sheds” and “metal sheds”, but if you have a page about “window cleaning” which has nothing to do with your main domain name, be prepared to not rank too highly without a massive amount of effort.

You’d be amazed at how many businesses choose domain names that don’t reflect their business. Unless of course it’s for branding purposes, you should pick a domain that reflects your products or services.

Google also likes to see backlinks pointed towards your site from other sites ideally in the same genre as yours. There are of course technical considerations to pay attention to, such as having your keywords listed in the meta tag coding in your website. You should also have your main area of business listed in title tag code heading of your website.

Which leads us on to a very important question, if two websites are equal in terms of backlinks meta and title descriptions which would rank higher in Google? Which ever one is employing the most effective SEO plan. SEO refers to search engine optimization. This is a promotional technique involving many strands of thinking that allows your website to gain more favourable Google rankings.

Creating backlinks and promoting your website takes a lot of time, effort and money. Everything starts with keyword research but before that you need to have a clear defined understanding of what your business is all about.

Many businesses perform badly on the Internet because they have not carried out effectively keyword research. Many businesses are targeting the wrong keywords, ones that have little searches, are not connected to their business or have too much competition. This is why many businesses fail to make a profit.

So before you start out on an online assault you should start with effective keyword research. A professional search engine optimisation company can work on this area with you and develop your search engine marketing plan. This will take a bit of time but patience served at this point will reap financial rewards in the long term.

After the first piece of the process is completed a search engine optimization company can begin the time consuming process of marketing your site and refining your keywords. They will be able to do this a lot faster than you can leaving you free to get on with running your business. If your competitors are keeping up-to-date with the latest online thinking they will already be working with a engine optimization company, that is why they probably have higher rankings than you.

In the words of Sir Alex Ferguson, fail to prepare- prepare to fail. Don’t leave your web results to chance. Seo City a seo Northern Ireland based company can help you with your search engine optimization plan.

Top Reasons To Target The Low Frequency Search Phrases Working On SEO.

By Money Making Expert On April 9, 2010 No Comments

There are many webmasters who underestimate the importance of the low frequency search terms, when working on SEO. Looking for the maximum traffic results from the search engines, we often focus on the very popular terms that potentially may bring us a lot of traffic and help us make quick money online.

The search terms of the low frequency have a small number of searches and at the same time have small competition as less people want to be ranked for these terms. As the less popular terms have little traffic, many site owners don’t pay much attention to them and try to focus on the high popular queries that potentially can bring more visitors.

This idea is absolutely right, and every internet marketer would prefer to be on a top position for the terms that have 100 thousand of searches per month, than a phrase with only 2000 searches. But practice is not matching the theory this time. As many webmasters are aiming to be high listed for the popular queries, the struggle becomes very tough and it may take you months to get to the top of the search results for the high frequency keywords, by overcoming all your competitors in incoming links building and continue struggle for the top position because there will always be others who would like to be on the top too.

Talking about the low-frequency search terms, the competition there is little and you don’t have to work too hard in order to get to the top of the search results. Thus you can handle your making money on the web process much easier by optimizing your site for the less popular phrases. Let’s have a look on the statistic numbers of the searches behavior. Pay attention that the first search position query gets about 50% of the clicks, but the first search position keywordon the second page of the search results list has about 0.66% of the uses’ attention. Now let’s decide yourself a question where would you like to be on the top for the query phrase with the 2000 searches a month and get 50% of the visits (about 1000), or on the second page for the term with the 100 thousands of searchers and receive about 600 visits?!

The reply is evident and the calculations we made are very simple and proving that it is not necessary to work hard for ]targeting the top search positions of the popular queries, it is much more simplier to get to the top of the low frequency search terms.

There are many complains from the internet webmasters who don’t succeed to get enough visitors from the Search Engines. I hope that this article will be useful for many webmasters and newbies in the internet marketing who wish to make money working online.

Effective Marketing In A Rough Economy

By Michael Fleischner On December 21, 2009 No Comments

Internet marketing is often a complicated process of direct marketing campaigns and improving online conversions. Determining the right mix of advertising, online campaigns, and managing a budget is more difficult than ever before. However, if you have a good marketing strategy and manage the details of your online campaigns, you can significantly improve your marketing results.

For businesses that have a mature online marketing program, improving website performance is a constant struggle. In the last few months, you may have seen fewer visitors to your website or fewer conversions. To improve your top line, you need to better leverage your visitors and turn them into customers.

As times get tough, so do marketers. Through trial and error, I have implemented a number of campaigns via my website to improve the conversion of website visitors to customers. As pay per click expenses continue to increase, each visitor needs to do more to support my business. At the same time, my business needs to provide more value.

Provide an informational giveaway. When visitors enter your website, provide some valuable information in exchange for a name and email. This capture of information is essential for marketing your products to web site visitors. Once they offer their information communicate with them on a regular basis.

Use an auto responder. Communicate with your website visitors on a regular basis. This is a great way to convert your browsers into customers. After users sign up for your free information or download, use the auto responder to send messages on a regular basis. Auto responders are very inexpensive and can provide a significant boost to sales.

Create a reason to come back. Another great technique is to change up your free offers on a weekly basis. This is easily done if you offer a course covering a new topic each week. Let users know that by coming back to the site, they can access new information, transcripts from a recent conference call, or access to expert information.

Think about other resources you can produce on a regular basis to pull browsers back to your website. One common method is a newsletter. After individuals sign up for your newsletter, you can have a dialogue with them on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Make sure to save copies of your past newsletters online and require registration to view them.

In a tough economy, you need to do what you can to get more from your website visitors. The only way to do this successfully is to first offer something of value. After you’ve made the first move, many browsers will be willing to share some information about themselves. Put your thinking cap on and consider new ways to attract website visitors. Once you have found something that works, stick with it.

With an added focus on traffic and conversions, you can easily leverage the visitors you already receive to your website.

A Look Inside Search Engines

By Nick Halmond On October 24, 2009 No Comments

The only way you’ll ever understand how to use a search engine effectively is by first making a point of understanding how they work. In other words, you need to get a grip on the fundamental concepts of the various search engines before you’ll be able to use them to your advantage. As you no doubt already know, search engines can be immensely confusing, but providing you’re willing to delve a little deeper in order to get a basic understanding, you’ll soon begin to realize just how they work.

Search engines are used to catalog all the websites and web pages on the internet. Search engines are programs that scan for information, content, in order to categorize it. When an internet user enters a search term and presses enter, they will then get pages of relevant websites and web pages that match their search query.

The first basic function of a search engine is to crawl the web, and in order to do this, the search engines make use of highly sophisticated software commonly referred to as a crawler or spider. These crawlers or spiders will follow the millions of links which are present on the web. However, you need to bear in mind that the crawlers are only able to scan for text. In other words they are unable to recognize videos, java script, or in fact anything which is password protected.

Once the spider has finished crawling the web, the information which was gathered is then indexed in a huge database which of course functions as an information bank. When users make use of the search function, the search engines will use this information bank in order to supply results. Within the framework of this index, several key words and keyword praises are utilized in order to relate web pages and web sites to specific search terms. Essentially, this is where your website gets ranked, and this is of course what determines where about your website will appear in search results.

The next thing that happens is the search by an internet user. You have probably used a search engine to find information, so you know that you type a term into the search engine, press enter and you get pages of results. The search engine will take the term you enter, compare it to the database and process the search request. Each search engine has its own way to process and figure which websites and web pages match your search term. These are called algorithms. Once the search engine has processed the request the results are returned to you and you get the pages of relevant websites and web pages.

Because all the search engines use different algorithms, you will get different results from all of them even if your search term is identical. This is mostly due to the fact that different algorithms tend to place more emphasis on different factors, and while some may view keyword density as the most important factor, others for example may consider links or meta tags to be more important. Just to make matters even more confusing, all the major search engines change their algorithms regularly.

When you are optimizing your website or web page for the search engines, it helps to know what algorithms the search engine uses. Search Engine Optimization or SEO, is a major part of internet marketing. It involves adding content, changing website setup and doing any tweaks needed to help get your website or web page ranked high on the search engines for your chosen keyword or keyword phrase.

Understanding how search engines work and how they rank websites can be a major help in SEO. You will have to continuously keep up on SEO for your website, though. As mentioned, search engines are always changing their criteria for ranking websites, so you need to be changing with them in order to ensure you stay ranked high.
