Tips To Get Organised for Work At Home Mums
Are you a mum contemplating starting a home business or working from home? Perhaps you are already working from home and wondering how you can improve your efficiency both as a mum and a business owner? Work at home mums can sometimes face big challenges, however there are many things you can do to be successful at both being a mum and a business owner. For me, the absolute most important thing is to be organised.
I started a home business while looking after my two young children at home. I was busy enough just being a mum, and starting the business made me feel quite overwhelmed at first; now I was really busy! I since realised that you can be very busy without the overwhelmed feeling, and in fact you can reduce your workload just by being organised, which is a secret work at home mums must know!
I focus on a few things to make sure that I have the right balance between being a mum and working at home, and that I am successful in both roles. Work at home mums can follow these simple rules to being organised:
1. Have a Comprehensive Schedule. This is the one thing I have become dependent on! Having working hours is not enough for work at home mums. I have a schedule which includes the type of tasks I will perform in each time slot (e.g. marketing activities, checking emails, website updates, education, making calls, writing articles, etc). This way, you don’t get to the end of the week realising that you didn’t accomplish all your tasks. It also prevents you from always prioritising the things you enjoy doing (there will always be tasks you don’t enjoy doing but need to get done!). Pick the right time of the day to assign mentally demanding tasks. I also prefer to work harder on earlier days in the week so that I can reduce my workload towards the end of the week when I am more tired. I like to keep flexibility with the ‘mum’ and house tasks, but if you find it difficult to manage, you might consider including them in your schedule (e.g. grocery shopping, family time, meal time, laundry, cleaning). Finally, review your schedule at the end of every week to make sure that you accomplished your goals and that the schedule itself is adequate.
2. When You Work, Work! Working around their children can make it hard for work at home mums to focus on their work. I find however that if I try to give attention to my work and my children at the same time, neither job gets done well. My children are more difficult to manage when I am trying to work, and my work doesn’t get done properly or takes twice as long. Sometimes however the need for multi-tasking cannot be avoided. During those times, try to set up your children with music, a snack, special toys and maybe a video for a little while, and try to choose tasks which require less mental focus. If your children are old enough, let them know how long you will work for. Why not promise them a special treat or game after you finished working if they have played nicely?
3. Keep It Tidy. Work at home mums can waste so much valuable time looking for things! Keep everything organised, sorted and tidy. No more piling up and scattering! Take the time to build the tracking and filing systems you need. When you need that document or phone number, you don’t want to waste time and patience looking for it. I even set up a time in my schedule for tidying up my office, otherwise it doesn’t get done and papers just pile up!
4. Make Time For You. As work at home mums, most of our time is taken up looking after the house and the family and managing the business. Is there any time left for you? I make sure there is, and I allocate time in advance in my schedule to look after myself and my well-being. Whatever you like doing for yourself (reading, sport, meditation, having a bath, going out, etc), make provision for it in your weekly schedule, and take the time to re-fuel, enjoy yourself and relax.
5. Get Some Help. If possible, ask your partner or other family members to help you with house tasks or minding the kids. Perhaps your partner can make dinner one or two nights per week so that you can do some work early in the evening? Or grandparents can spend a few hours on a regular basis with your children while you work? Of course, if you can afford some paid help (e.g. cleaning, ironing, etc), go for it! Work at home mums need all the help they can get!
Here is a summary of my 5 tips for work at home mums: make a comprehensive weekly schedule and follow it as much as you can, focus on your work during working hours, keep an organised and tidy office, make time for your well-being, and get help from family members.

Article Writing Techniques Stress the Fundamentals
In our information-based society, articles represent the lifeblood. It was once said that “content is king” and that has never been more correct, when it comes to website composition. People are flocking to the Web to learn and articles provide this source.
Consider your article writing techniques — there are a variety. Fundamentally, the finished work must be “readable,” which means that it must make sense, not be composed just to incorporate a set number of key words, must be enjoyable to read and educational or entertaining.
Over the years, a number of different article writing techniques have arisen to satisfy various demands. Sometimes a “top 10” style is utilized, other times a “how-to” approach or even a straightforward, bulleted list takes the place of a conventional approach. The style of the webpage in question will normally dictate the ultimate formality of contents.
We are learning that the search engines value appropriate content. They use a process similar to latent semantic indexing to gauge whether the body of the article actually relates to the keywords found in its title. In other words, secondary keywords should appear throughout the article, which the search engine compares against its comprehensive database for relevancy.
Fundamentally, an article should consist of 5 to 8 paragraphs and be about 500 words long. This is a standard format for articles found throughout the Internet. When composing an article, the lead paragraph should give the reader an idea of the overall content, the following 3 to 5 paragraphs should enlarge on a particular point — one point per paragraph – and the closing paragraph should sum up the entire piece.
Different authors have different article writing techniques but all should follow good practice. Content should not represent a pure “salesy” approach, even though it can be argued that the majority of websites have an ultimate commercial purpose. There is always a time and place for an appropriate pitch and competent writers will focus on good service first and foremost.
Structure is everything from an SEO perspective. Remember to include LSI type, secondary keywords to back up your prime keywords. Of course it is not necessary for you to worry or focus on this element if you are a subject expert, as you will naturally provide the most informative article and those technical words will appear automatically.
We are told that the major search engines are placing more and more emphasis on quality content and penalizing those webmasters who try and optimize first and provide quality second. As this scenario unfolds there will be a lot of focus on article writing techniques, as well as demand for the provision of great content.

How To Generate Profits By Domain Flipping
When you consider domain flipping it is similar to house flipping, with the exception that the real estate you are dealing with is online virtual real estate. It works along the same idea of buying property and then either fixing it up for a sale or even selling the domain as it is. You can generate a small or large profit by domain flipping. Many individual do it every day and every day there are people searching for just the right domain to buy.
However, domain flipping is a lot easier and cheaper to start as a new business than some other ideas are. You can start by purchasing domains that others have and no longer want, or you can buy domains that are expired, dead, “parked,” and so on. Fix them up and then sell them for a profit. The profit you make will in part depend on how much work you’re willing to do, so that the domain you eventually sell is something that truly is attractive and worth the price someone else will pay for it.
First, you want to look for domains for sale that you can buy that include rich keywords that are relevant to any particular niche market. Depending on the domain, you may be able to purchase them for very little. However, you may even come across a domain you want to buy and then flip that can be a bit more expensive.
With domain flipping, one of the most important things to consider is that, of course, you make money and therefore profit from what you’re doing. With some domains, you can sell them right away, while with others, you’ll need to build them up and make them valuable before you sell them. You can even “park” a domain and make money from ad revenue, or from “pay per click” businesses.
To do this, after parking your domain, you will begin working to drive traffic to the domain. This will increase your chances of making money while it sits waiting to be flipped. The more traffic a site receives the more popular it will become when it is time to flip it and you still make money while you wait to sell it.
Good traffic flow is important, as is the ability for a domain and website to make money. Making these things more popular and therefore more valuable will make your profits greater when it comes time for someone to buy a domain or website for their own use. Make sure you have your prospective buyers in mind when you consider things that are vital to those who actually want to buy popular domains.
Another thing to consider is that you must understand that things do take time and this includes domain flipping. For instance, you should understand that every time you buy a domain you might not be able to sell it as soon as possible. You may find that the domain you buy today, may not sell for a couple of years even.
Quality domains are those that have something to offer potential buyers, which in effect means that you’ll need to build both website content and online traffic in order to make a domain valuable enough to sell and make a profit. If you do so, though, you can certainly profit handsomely from domain flipping. When you take the time and effort to do this, you need to be patient and enjoy the process of domain flipping as well as the ultimate profits and rewards.

The Secret SEO Shortcut
Have you heard about the “Secret” piece of code you can paste on your website that will make your website leap like a frog on top of the Google Search Results.
I didn’t think you had because that thing doesn’t exist actually! Why not try to think about it for a minute. And if there is such thing don’t you think Google would be able to notice when a website shot to the top of the search ranking when no other criteria the algorithm looks for are met? As the usual saying goes, “Easy come, and easy go?” Just like life, the world of search marketing has no shortcut.
Indeed it’s true that the fastest way to the top is always with a map. This goes similar for, Search Engine Optimization. In order to achieve success, you have to build a website that is user-friendly and that that really provides meaningful, relevant information which serves as purpose. To get across your visitor, always have a plan. Make them interested and lead them to take action that you wanted them to take. You should use an easy structure so that visitors both human and Search Spiders can easily follow and digest. Then, make sure to use content that builds your sites value your users will want to share with others.
Though it may sound really simple, yet if you follow this method, no Search Engine is ever going to have a problem with your site. With planning and effort building like this could take time. However, the benefits are long term and are sustainable.
I am not working for a search engine. What I do is I promote websites that want to rank well on search engines while adhering to the guidelines.
Yes, I do know that Search Engines have set the rules and even though it may seem unfair they will enforce them as they see fit. Here’s a good example that may let you know the point. Across the country, there are speed limits posted on most roads. Yet, there is no way that police may be enough to catch every speeder. It’s in your decision to speed and risk either the accident the limits were put in place to avoid or get a ticket that will make your insurance more expensive or you could follow the limit and at the same time get a good chance of getting where you want every time.
For discerning guideline violators, the Search Engines are always working on improving their techniques. Occasionally, they implement a large portion of new programming that causes Search Optimizers to scramble when the search results suddenly change dramatically. You are still okay if you’re working with those rules.
