Knowing The Search Engine Process To Improve SEO

By admin On May 19, 2010 Comments Off on Knowing The Search Engine Process To Improve SEO

Knowing how search engines work is the first step to Search Engine Optimization, as you cannot optimize something you do not understand. Knowing the process and what they are looking for will help you and your SEO Consultant better utilize your website in order to attract the web crawlers as well as searchers. Understanding the steps a search engine takes to bring your website to searchers will help you adjust your website so you can get optimal results with your ranking.

The programs that explore the web indexing every piece of information are called web crawlers or spiders. They basically jump from page to page through links indexing the information they come by. However, do not expect that a change that you make to your website will automatically affect your ranking. Web crawlers visit a website once every one to two months, so be patient with them.

It’s also very important to be aware of what web crawlers or spiders see on your website and are able to index. This is vital to your ranking. Primarily, the main thing that they see is content, or text. This means make sure that your website is full of useful information that has relevant keywords to help the crawlers index it better. Other things that web crawlers see are metatags and links, so have plenty of those, of course, with useful keywords. Keep in mind that crawlers cannot see flash movies, music, java scripts, images, and frames.

Indexing is another important step to the process. This is basically the information picked up by web crawlers as they jump from page to page. The data they read is collected and organized into huge databases for later retrieval. They index by identifying the major keywords, metatags, and links and then use them to organize the information. This is where good search engine optimization comes in handy as if you don’t have properly input keywords, links, and metatags a web crawler cannot identify and classify your web page for indexing.

So, how do search engines get all that information to come up when an inquiry is made? When a request is made by a searcher into a search engine it’s processed. They words used are passed through the search engines database of indexes. Since most searches bring up millions of pages it then organizes all of the processed information and calculates it by reverence depending on the algorithm of the search engine itself.

An algorithm is a process of calculating reverence when organizing indexed web pages for an inquiry. The algorithm calculations are based on various things in a webpage such as keyword density, incoming and outgoing links, or metatags, in various orders of importance. For instance, with the new Google Caffeine Google will no longer use metatags as an algorithm, however Yahoo still uses them. This is why you get different results from different search engines, as each has their own individual algorithm for reverence. Also, it’s important that you stay on top of news for major search engines, as they often change their algorithms.

The search process ends in the final step of retrieval. This is basically when the search engine has gone through all of its indexes and used their algorithm to calculate the reverence of the results that the search pulled up. It’s when a searcher has plugged in the information and it brings up a new web page that shows a list of links to web pages based on reverence.

So, before starting your Search Engine Optimization, know what a search engine really is and the steps it takes to bring up the information to your screen. Knowing what web crawlers see will help you in organizing the information necessary to create a successful website. Having an SEO Consultant will be of great help to improve your websites rankings and get more searchers traffic.

Build Links With Free Traffic System

By Money Making Expert On May 19, 2010 Comments Off on Build Links With Free Traffic System

First off let me make it clear that I love Free Traffic System enough that I am a lifetime “Pro” member of the service. But that doesn’t mean that I have no complaints at all. Below you will find the plusses and the minuses of this recommended link building service.

Free Traffic System Pros

(1) There is a free version you can build links with. This is the biggest positive to those who don’t have any cash to invest in their link building projects. That said, I think it’s worth the investment upgrading to a pro account as soon as can afford it because by not doing so you are not getting the most out of the system.

(2) The system lets you link to a limitless number of landing pages as you need to and it is an easy task to copy and paste lots of URLs into the target link area.

(3) Pro members can include 3 links in each submission.

(4) Each submission is put on 50 different sites so that means you can build 150 links with a single article.

(5) If you include your own blogs in the system you can get bonus links with each of your article submissions.

(6) You can get bonus backlinks by referring new Free Traffic System users.

Free Traffic System Cons

(1) The system can be somewhat clumsy to get used to when comared to some other article distribution services.

(2) The “choosing” and “rechoosing” of the article directories you want each of your articles to be submitted to can be cumbersome although they say they have their reasons for it.

(3) There is a cap of 50 different sites that your article submissions can go out to. With services such as Article Marketing Automation there is no such cap and your submissions can actually go out to over 100 websites instead of just 50.

Other Article Submission Websites

I do not recommend using just this article submission service on it’s own. To get the most links you will want to also use other article submission sites like the ArticleRanks service.

Magic Article Rewriter

If you really want to get the best results out of your article marketing efforts then I highly recommend Buying Magic Article Rewriter because it allows you to greatly leverage the article marketing work that you do. With this software you can spin an article just once and then send it out via multiple submission services which basically means you will be able to a lot more links to your landing pages for about the same amount of work.

Why Do We Build Links And Why Do Articles Assist?

By Money Making Expert On May 18, 2010 Comments Off on Why Do We Build Links And Why Do Articles Assist?

Most of the authority as to what terms are significant to your website come not from what you say on your site pages, but what other websites say round you. And this is by how they link to you.

Each link has what is often known as an anchor text – this is the piece of text that the visitor will click on to use the link. But the search engines take a look at this anchor and use it as a vote for the website. So, if the anchor text is “search engine hints” then you have 1 vote for that term pointing to your website. Get an adequate amount of votes and you will be top of the selection.

Historically, website owners have done this by running link exchange directories on their websites. Mass exchanges, where you link to another site in return for them linking to you. This was fine, but as with the content issue, everything to optimse a site needs to shout out ‘natural’. Search engines could simply spot huge directories and most have no page rank and are useless.

So, we need a way of link building that gives natural links, ideally from websites that we are not enforced to link to in order to keep the link back in place. And the remedy to this is article writing. I’ll look at how and the other benefits later in the article.

So filling meta data and tags with keywords is old hat and link sites are out of the window because they have no value. But we need links and to do that we write articles. But, what is so good around article writing? Article writing unquestionably does get sites to the top of search engine rankings, but that is just one part of the story.

For a lot of sites, there is a market of potential customers that spread far and wide and some of these are researching more information by reading article directories. Others might be looking for items and services and will stumble onto articles on directories.

Either group, if interested in the article, can then see the author’s biography at the bottom of the article and then visit the author’s website. With one recent brand new website, before it had even been cached by the search engines, I was able to get it up to 40 new unique traffic per day, merely through people reading a handful of articles on 1 top article directory.

Also, given that a major grounds for writing articles is the search engine assistance, the plusses go on. Not only does the article get printed on the directory that you submit it to, but other directories and web sites will pick up the article, print it and link back to you.

So, we write articles for 2 reasons. First they are marvelous with the search engines and boost our ranking position and second people will read them on the websites we submit them to and visit our web-sites. But how do we write them?

Understanding SEO, PR, Backlinks, URL Ranking, PR Tool, SEM, SERP, Tags, And URL Submission

By Money Making Expert On May 18, 2010 Comments Off on Understanding SEO, PR, Backlinks, URL Ranking, PR Tool, SEM, SERP, Tags, And URL Submission

Understanding SEO, PR, Backlinks, URL Ranking, PR Tool, SEM, SERP, Tags, and URL Submission. – The Best SEO Blogs

Many companies are using some, all or more of each of these terms to promote their websites. There is a lot of discussion on blogs, forums and chat rooms on which one is the best, which is the worst and so forth. Companies spend billions of dollars to plan, design, implement and maintain these items. Also, it is worth mentioning that individual people spend little to nothing and accomplish the same sorts of things these big companies are succeeding at.

You will find countless articles out there in the wonderful world we call the “World Wide Web” that focus on tips and tricks and how to scenario explanations all of which have their own rendition and testimonial of how theirs worked and how it can work for you. We can stand to learn something, I think, from all of the articles available online.

However, my focus is to stand back and take a look at the broader picture. Before you can inspect the details of something you need to first find the something you are wanting to inspect. But like most things, there is a learning curve in learning the language….the same goes for these terms.

So after learning the hard way, I found that if you take something that is complicated and simplify it, logic states, that it will be more simple to understand. Below you will find my simplified version of what these terms stand for. May it help you progress to the next stage of difficulty…using them in practice.

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. This is the quest of being seen by everyone in the world online through search engines like Google, Yahoo and others. SEO is primarily the reason why we have so many of these other terms next to be explained. Each day it seems like some new strategy comes out because Google or Yahoo changed they way they do things to try to avoid people using and abusing their searches. This often makes me think of Taxes and the IRS….but I won’t go down that path now. So on to the next term.

PR = Page Rank = Let’s face it we are lazy. How often do you go more than two pages deep when you have searched a topic? Probably less than 5% of the time This is why so much money is being spent on getting the highest rank in search engines. SEO helps maximize PR.

Backlinks = So have you ever wished you could just call up Google or Yahoo and ask them to put your link on their front page if you promise to put their link on your page? Backlinks are supposed relationships you have with other websites, blogs, or social media profile. You pretty much agree to post each others link or website address on each others sites. Backlinks are assumed to be very useful in PR and SEO.

URL Ranking = This is very similar to PR except it is more focused on the tools available to get sites to backlink to your site. There are many sites, free and for profit, that will submit your site, discussed later, so you can get a higher URL Ranking.

PR Tool = Page Rank Tools are becoming very popular. They do things like analyze your website to see if there are items on there that could be improved to maximize online presence. Some tools are very advanced and can tell you all sorts of things to help you improve your SEO and PR Rank.

SEM = Stands for Search Engine Marketing. There are all sorts of opinions of what this means. In short is it SEO with a twist and like most things in life, twists aren’t free! SEM uses SEO and also other methods of advertising to get a higher PR. In theory, it acts synonymously with SEO.

SERP = Stands for Search Engine Results Page. This of a SERP as all the methods, both free and for profit, you can use and put them into a big formula, the result is a SERP. The methods of calculating SERPs is why I am writing this article. This is the whole Taxes and IRS catch up game.

Tags = Tags are very complex in practice but very easy to understand. Obviously the internet is written in codes, like JAVA, HTML, etc…A tag is a method, applied differently under each language writing code, that helps search engines recognize Keywords. Keywords are how search engines function. That is the input of the formula for SERPs, the output is the websites that specific keywords on websites find. Tags are very helpful, no matter what Google or Yahoo do, they will always have to rely upon tags or else they won’t ever find accurate specific websites relevant to what searchers want to find.

URL Submission = URL submission can be performed at many different levels. Again, remember this is based on SEM…money can have a play in this. Some of the different levels go from submitting your website url at each of the search engines sites. All have specifc links you can get to to do so…Google, Yahoo, Bing and so forth. There are some sites that say they will submit your site for Free or for Fee to a certain number of the search engines on the web including the big ones. Whichever path you take, free or fee, this can take some time but can get your name or site on the map.

There are so many other items I can go on and on about but this is the ground level of what needs to be understood when talking about PR and SEO. All are very important in the whole process. Some play bigger roles and some don’t. It is usually the different combinations of items that make websites successful so remember diversify your methods and don’t be afraid to take some risks and try them all at least once. – Free Link Submit
