Some of the most popular things one gets about starting this type of occupation is: who can start a recording studio? Who has the talent, what kind of individual can actually make it in this business?
You know anybody can make a living in this business. I know that sounds hard to believe. But it’s true.
You need to realise, a studio is just like any other occupation. You have something specialised to offer, folk come to you seeking out that product/service, and will remunerate you in return. To Learn the ins and outs of having this kind of studio, and the technical skills will come with practice. The initial recordings were not very good, but the groups were happy and enjoyed working with him. It was as simple as that – the check was written, money landed in his account, and he was off and running. After a year, his recordings were far superior, and he was able to charge way more for his work.
Remember, you are capable start a recording studio business – no problem. You can do it. You need to learn how the business model is actioned, how to get bands, how to market your studio, and watch it work. Trust me, just about anybody with all the recording know-how in the world can start a studio… but it will fall down quickly if they don’t understand the operation. In the mean time, you can be making plenty of money with half the recording talent – because you are the discerning business person.
