List Building – You Are Building Trust And Loyalty
It is one thing for people to join your mailing list. But it is another thing altogether to have them reach for their credit card and purchase a product or service from you online, or something that you recommend.
Your subscribers will only become paying clients if you can earn their trust and then maintain that trust over time. And that is going to take a considerable effort from you. This is one of the most crucial aspects of list building.
Here are a few of the methods that you can build trust:
- Participate in forums that discuss your topic or industry that your list is connected to.
- Send out a regular ezine containing relevant, useful information on your topic. Give your subscribers plenty of good information without any charge at all.
- Invite some respected experts in your field to contribute some advice and recommendations to your members.
- Ensure your website is user-friendly. By that I mean a web site with a nice design, relevant contents and easy navigation.
- Include a Contact page on your site. Try to respond to all client or visitor questions within 2 days at most. Showing this information will probably also help your web site to be ranked higher at several of the main search engines. When replying to customers who contact you through your web site, remember to remind them to join your newsletter if they have not done so already, as it contains more information on the subject they are looking for.
- Clearly show your Privacy Policy on your web site. This helps your members to trust you; particularly if they understand that you are not selling or giving away their personal details to any other party. Having this information also helps your web site to rank higher at some of the major search engines.
