6. Visit other websites – it sounds daft, but you should start to read, and follow, other similar sites. There are two reasons for this. First, you could see what other bloggers are buzzing around and maybe get some hot new topics and ideas to talk round, which is great search engine bait. Second, you can add meaningful comments to the posts and engage in conversation with these other bloggers. The bloggers might visit your site and as long as your comments are approved, they will be listed with a link back to your site. Select your targets well and this link may even be search engine friendly and earn you links!
7. Start to sign up to cash making schemes – finally, we are there! Schemes such as Adsense and affiliate schemes are magnificent if you have real people visiting the web site. There are also some paid blogging schemes that will accept new sites, even though plenty do seem to prefer to wait, or at least give most of the work, to the blog has a Google Page Rank of at least 3. Certain schemes will have criteria for instance at least 90 days old and in excess of 20 posts of 200 words. Look about and you will find something suitable for you, there are enough out there!

Learning From Errors In Online Marketing – ‘Magpie Syndrome’
Having been in internet marketing a little over 6 months now, I’ve been looking at where I’ve got to and ensuring I learn as much as I can from the journey.
I wanted to share one particular thing with you that struck me as significant. I even came up with a little name for it: ‘Magpie Syndrome’.
You see, put simply, this is the habit that we all have (including the business masters) of wanting the next shiny book/course/piece of software that promises to skyrocket our business. Of course, assuming they’re well-constructed products, then the chances are good that they will improve it… Until we see the next shiny object and forget about the first one… :(
Here’s the problem: We’re all looking for ways to make money online and we want it sooner rather than later. As a result, if we’re convinced that a product will help us accomplish that, then we’ll want to buy it to get that ‘secret formula’. Marketers play on this to sell you their product. However, virtually every marketer is doing this, so we can easily become overwhelmed by the new information and not actually do anything with it.
Having studied the success mindset of many of the marketers who are highly successful, I’ve realised that their approach is rather different. They ensure that they’re not distracted by shiny new things and instead concentrate on making one thing work for them at a time. Once that first thing is up and running, they do the next one until that too is working for them.
This limiting of focus becomes The Slight Edge that puts them ahead of other marketers.
I’ve developed a few patterns that I do daily in order to ensure I too can achieve that focus. I thought you might find them beneficial too so I’ve listed them below.
The key things to do, in my experience are these:
• Have one e-mail account that you use exclusively to sign up to mailing lists and promos. That way, these offers don’t detract from your focus when you’re checking and answering your more important e-mails.
• Check your e-mails twice per day (maximum); Once around 12pm and the other at around 4pm. Do it for no longer than 30 mins each time and then shut your e-mail program. If you leave it open, e-mails will distract you as they arrive, leading to hazy focus.
• Remember that there are actually very few secrets to success out there. The real secret is taking regular action until you make that method work. Only then can you move on to the next one. Don’t underestimate this. When you feel like giving up, keep going. You’re very close to the ‘tipping point’ where the method starts to work for you.
