Sponsor an Event fot Promotion

Under make money

If you would like to get your marketing
out at a local level, why not sponsor a local run or event ? Running events appeal loads of competitors and the organizers are always looking for sponsors to provide prizes, so here is how to help them to help you!

Sponsoring a running race is easy. Merely approach the organisers and make the offer! Even only offering a prize for every finisher might be a benefit to the organisers, as they know that a run with good prizes is more prospective to get the runners back next year. And in payoff, if you offer printed promotional items, all of the runners will be beholding your logo.

Depending on the run, you should also be able to theorise stacks around the type of people running the race. As for instance, a local marathon or half marathon is maybe going to attract a high quantity of serious male runners. A local 5k will be a focus for serious runners along with a good amount of not so serious runners there to loose weight. There are other events that attract mainly women--and parents love people who sponsor a children’s race
So, if sponsoring a race is so great, how do you stumble on an event to sponsor and what must you do? Finding the events is quite simple. They go to stacks of effort to publicise their event so that runners will find the run – so you merely need to reckon like a runner to find the race. Ask in local running and sports shops (who might also be sponsoring events and be willing to take on an additional sponsor). Look through running web sites, forums and running magazines for more details of races to enter.

All of these will list the organiser’s contact details so that runners could enter. All that you have to do is to write to the organiser, saying that you are willing to provide some prizes for the runners. How and when would they like them supplied? It is as simple as that. Only remember to bring up that you need a reply in time to get the items sourced – telling them the date rather than the lead time will most likely work best!

There are so many choices available that your biggest problem may be narrowing your choices.  ï»¿ From sports bottles to wrist bands, or more traditionally anything from pens to mugs. As long as you get the items printed with your web site address, some of the runners are going to see the message and take an interest in what you are doing.

You can even offer to volunteer to hand the items out to make sure that they are all being distributed! Even though all that you offer is an empty water bottle printed with your logo and the runners get no other prizes, they will happily accept them and stacks will keep them for years to come (I am still using one given to me 6 years ago!). If the organisers have not arranged goodie bags then the bottles are handed out lose, else you merely provide them in time for the packing of the goodie bags.

Get your message spread locally. It is well worth it!
